Hit Girl Massacres (OST. Kick Ass - Superb Soundtracky Saturday)

Probably not the best film ever from last year, I mean if you use artistic or other smart measures; but it surely gives me something I really need: ENTERTAINMENT. Yep, this movie is PURE FUN. Cool bang-bangs, and stab-stabs, and punch-punch(s). A pretty bloody one, and I won't recommend it for any children. (You don't want your little babies watch a ten years ol girl pumping guns and wielding knives, don't you?)

If wanna see it a little bit serious, actually Kick Ass offers an interesting insight, a reflection of people and society nowadays. In what way? Well....you better watch it yourself and find it. Okay, for example they make a great twist of Spider-Man famous quote: "With great power, comes a great responsibility"; while in Kick Ass it becomes: "With no power, come no responsibility (Except, that wasn't true). Oh, one more thing, this movie is an adaptation from a comic series with the same title. But I can't say anything about the comic since I never read this one. (Anyone has a link to the English version of this Kick Ass comic series?)

Now move on to the soundtrack. The main idea is actually a good one, providing wide genre variations (rock, electronica, dance, ballad), also combining old stuffs (Elvis, Ennio Morricone, The Dickies, Joan Jett--though only a cover of her song) and newer stuffs (Prodigy, Mika, etc). But I gotta say that while the oldies are top quality, the newer songs are not so. However, one of Prodigy's tracks is pretty cool and I'm not sure if The Hit Girls was a band from the old days, so it might be a new band.

Well, enough said. Here I made some videos with the best scenes (Hit Girl's fighting scenes are definitely the best parts of Kick Ass movie) and the best tracks from the OST album. Enjoy!
